John O’Brien

Dr John O’Brien works as a Jungian psychoanalyst / psychotherapist, training analyst, lecturer and Research Committee member at the C G Jung Institute, Zurich. He is also an independent practitioner and consultant. In his early career, he qualified and practiced in vocational guidance, education, counseling, psychotherapy and clinical applications of hypnotherapy. He gained his MA at Antioch University/Regents College, London, with placement at the Maudsley Hospital (Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London).

Having completed his MBA since the 1990s, John pioneered success-oriented depth psychology coaching and consulting services to the leaders of major corporations and institutions in the UK, US, and Europe.

He gained his Diploma from the C. G. Jung, Institute, Zurich, Kusnacht in 2016, and is currently a member of the Assembly of Accredited, Psychoanalysts, Psychotherapists and Psychiatrists. His Ph.D. (Psychology) research is the basis for the publication of the Manual for training analysts in the Word Association Experiment.

He practices internationally while independently contributing to selected international projects which empower people to lead healthy, meaningful and joyful lives.

Nada O’Brien

Dr Nada O’Brien, is an accredited Jungian psychoanalyst and lecturer at the C. G. Jung Institute, Zurich, with extensive experience in academia, clinical practice, and consulting. Nada’s doctoral research delved into the phenomena of creativity and human development. Her exploration of the deep connection between music and dreams led her to jungian psychoanalysis and she became an accredited Jungian psychoanalyst at Carl Gustav Jung Institute in Zurich. She has been designing and running developmental courses for senior professionals in Norwegian Health system and financial organizations around the world.

Her expertise extends to individual private and Cororate Executive coaching, where she co-authors and accredits courses globally. Nada’s research interests include the continuous discovery and applications of ways to help people to find their unique paths to wholeness and fulfillment, reflected in her role on the Research Committee of the CG Jung Institute Zurich. She has published works on various topics, from music and dreams, infant research and transgenerational trauma, football, to organizational culture and leadership development.

A notable achievement is her collaboration with John O’Brien on “The Professional Practice of Jungian Coaching: CorporateAnalyticalPsychology” (Routledge, 2020), which has influenced coaching methodologies worldwide.

She is also a Co-founder and Director of Education the International Association of Jungian Coaches and Consultants, and she serves as the Managing Director of the C. G. Jung Centre.

Nada is presently advising on practical hypnotherapy and Jungian approaches to support wellness.
